Prop 8 Is Overturned!!!

This is GREAT news for all of the same sex couples in California!!!

A federal judge overturned California's gay-marriage ban Wednesday in a landmark case that could eventually force the U.S. Supreme Court to confront the question of whether same-sex couples have a constitutional right to wed. The ruling by Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker touched off a celebration outside the courthouse. Gay couples waved rainbow and American flags and erupted with cheers in the city that has long been a haven for gays.

It's no secret that I am a huge supporter of gay rights, so hearing this news made me extremely happy for the good folks in California.

In my opinion, this is not solely about gay rights, but more so CIVIL rights and EQUALITY. Everyone has reason to celebrate this giant step in advancing the cause of human rights in America - all classes of people - be they "gay" or "straight," we all are better today than we were yesterday.

I've said it time and time again: It's 2010......GET FAMILIAR! Faith has finally been restored!
