Yesterday afternoon in NYC, Essence magazine hosted an intimate luncheon for 40 dynamic African-American women who have paved the way, and continue to inspire us in their every day lives.
The luncheon honored icon Diahann Carroll, Anika Noni Rose and a bevy of other brown beauties (Naomi Campbell, Wendy Williams, Kerry Washington, LaLa Vazquez, Gayle King, etc) who are carving their own way in the world!
