NBA Star Gilbert Arena Served Child Support Payments At Halftime?!?!

Via The Washington Post:
It's on. The simmering battle between Gilbert Arenas and his ex-fiancee Laura Govan became official Thursday night when Govan had the NBA star served with child support and custody papers as he left the court during halftime of a televised game, the Associated Press reports. The AP obtained the documents; Govan, who has three children by Arenas and is expecting their fourth, is seeking $1.3 million a year. Govan's rep told us in December that the former Wizards star had cut off financial support since the two split up around Thanksgiving, a claim reiterated in the filings. Arenas denied it to the AP after his new team, the Orlando Magic, played the Wizards in Washington Friday night. "She tells the world that she's not getting money. She gets $20,000 a month."
And also.....

You already knew the breakup of Gilbert Arenas and Laura Govan was ugly. But the NBA star took it up a notch in a live radio interview Thursday, blasting his ex-fiancee for trying to "destroy" him. Govan claimed in December that Arenas had abandoned her  and their three children. The drama intensified last week when we reported confidential notes (which her lawyers said were inadvertently made public in a court docket) revealing more of her grievances and claims of his profligate spending. People facing expensive court battles usually keep quiet, but the former Wizard was awfully chatty in his call into our colleague Mike Wise's 106.7 FM radio show. It's all lies, Arenas claimed -- except the bit about what Govan said he spends on his legendary shark tank. Yes, it's really five grand a month: "I'd rather spend $5,000 on my fish than have a drinking problem." The sharks, he claimed, have died, because of "somebody throwing pennies in the fish tank." No names. Otherwise, he accused Govan of overhyping his finances. "If you look back at the last couple breakups of any NBA athlete... it's a format they all go by to get more child support money... This is not 'Basketball Wives.'... These girls got to stop living a fantasy world." As for him: "You make bad choices as an adult, and we pick the wrong woman sometime." Ouch. Govan did not reply by press time.
Damn!!! Pennies in the shark tank? "Basketball Wives" jab? Picking the wrong woman? Ut oh.....shyts about to get REAL!
