New Music Video: Lady GaGa "Judas"
DANCE, GaGa!!!!!!
Lady GaGa continues to push the envelope with her latest video for "Judas", the 2nd single off her "Born This Way" album (in stores May 23rd).
In the vid, GaGa "stars as Mary Magdalene in the reimagining of the betrayal of Jesus Christ by Judas. The video opens with Gaga riding in a motorcycle gang with Jesus and his apostles through a modern day Jerusalem. During several wardrobe changes, she attempts to warn Jesus of Judas’ deceit, but in the end, she pays the ultimate price for his sins."
GaGa's choreographer/director Lauri-Ann Gibson spoke about the video: “We don’t touch on things that we have no right touching upon, but the inspiration and the soul and idea that out of your oppression, your darkness, your Judas, you can come into the marvelous light. So it’s about the inspiration and to never give up… We’ve created a new Jerusalem.”
Many folks are not pleased with GaGa "exploiting" Christianity and Jesus Christ in this song, and has received lots of flack for it. My only response to that is, she is an artist that is expressing herself in HER art-form. Many people take lyrics and music videos so literal instead of digging deeper that what's on the surface.
Buy hey...who am I other than Flash! Here's my advice: Don't like it? Don't watch it....
I enjoyed it but, but this is also coming from a GaGa fan. Get into above.....(if you choose).
