Gwyneth Paltrow Talks Race Relations, Her Children Growing Up With A Black President And More With "The Tanning Effect"

Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow sat down with business/music executive Steve Stoute in HuffPost Black Voices latest episode of "The Tanning Effect," in which she speaks on a range of topics: growing in Santa Monica where there was limited images of black people, Rihanna, a black woman, gracing the cover of VOGUE, growing up in a world where we now have a black President, black hair and MORE!

"I don't want to bemoan the fact that it should've happened 50 years ago, because it's here now. And it's like the way I see it is that I have two little kids who are understanding the world in a time when Rihanna is on the cover of Vogue, and we have a black president. So their eyes are being as if they're experiencing the world for the first time. All of this stuff is just root -- it's normal stuff for them. And that to me is what's so incredible. When my daughter understood what a president was, it was a black man. It's not like me, where I grew up with all of these old white guys one after another ... Their perspective on race and everything is completely open and completely different to how it was when I was a kid."

Gwyneth Paltrow was picture perfect at this year's Bambi Awards held at the Rhein-Main-Hallen, which took place in Wiesbaden, Germany earlier today.

The OSCAR winner dazzled in this green sequined, plunge-neck Elie Saab gown (GORGEOUS,) coupled with a diamond choker! DIVINE.....

The Bambi Awards are a German award show that highlights "excellence in international media and television "with vision and creativity who affected and inspired the German public."

Gwyneth Paltrow Named The New Face Of "COACH"

Ummmmm, well that's good. But, who really wears COACH? *runs and hides*

She continues to expand her resume, and the latest title for Gwyneth Paltrow is brand ambassador for the new Coach international campaign. The “Shakespeare in Love” star will appear in a print, digital, and outdoor ad series shot by Peter Lindbergh to debut this fall and next spring. Paltrow told press, “I grew up in New York City and I’ve always thought of Coach as the quintessential New York brand. I’ll never forget getting my first Coach bag.” Reed Krakoff, the president and executive creative director for Coach says he chose Gwyn because she was “a natural choice.…She embodies the spirit, energy and elegance of the Coach brand.”

Gwyneth Paltrow Signs $900,000 Record Deal?

Well Damn!

It appears Gwyneth Paltrow has a record deal. The “Country Strong” actress and wife of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has signed a deal with Atlantic Records to record her debut album, according to a report by the Britain's Sun newspaper. Financial terms were not disclosed, but Paltrow’s record contract is believed to worth $900,000. Paltrow joins a diverse Atlantic roster that includes James Blunt, Janelle Monae and Kid Rock. According to the New York Post, the album is described as some kind of "country pop" by those who have heard demos.

Let the criticism begin! I'm all for Gwyneth recording an album, because let's face it....SHE CAN ACTUALLY SING! Get your coins, doll!
