Movie News: Robert De Niro Will Play Bernie Madoff In New Film!

I likes....he even favors him a tad bit, eh?

Robert De Niro's production company Tribeca Productions and John Burnham Schwartz will take on highly the publicized scandal that rocked the nation: The Bernie Madoff debacle, in a new HBO film entitled, “Truth and Consequences: Inside the Life of the Madoff Family”. 

For those that have been living under a rock, Bernie Madoff rocked the nation for swindling people out of their investments to him and his company through ponzi schemes. He disgraced his family (one of his sons committed suicide last year) and is now serving a 150-year jail sentence leaving many of his clients penny-less.

'Entourage' Creator Vows That A Movie Will Be Made!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you sense my excitement?

An Entourage movie seems even more inevitable now: The series finale on HBO Sunday featured an end-of-episode scene in which Jeremy Piven’s Ari Gold is offered the chance to assume the chairmanship of a major Hollywood studio. Will Ari renege on the deal he made with his wife to spend a year Italy and, instead, return to the fast line? That’s definitely a question that can be answered on the big screen, and the team behind the series indicated this summer that it’s their next priority. “We’re going to do a movie,” said creator Doug Ellin at the TV critics press tour. “We’re going to do it. It’s a question of when and how quick. We’ll sit down and come up with an idea.” Exec producer Mark Wahlberg was also bullish on the prospect: “Well, I said if I had to finance myself, I’d do it. I certainly hope it has a chance to become a feature film, everybody always says the episodes are too short. [Viewers] want to go on a journey. The Hangover to me is like Entourage.” Agreed Jeremy Piven: “I think [the final season] is a gratifying way to finish, yet I also feel we could transition into a movie.”

Oh, how I've missed you so!!!

The trailer for HBO's new smash series Boardwalk Empire will return to our TV screens on September 25th!

And by the looks of the trailer, we are in for more drama than Season1! Excited? YOU SHOULD BE!

It's over....it's really over! Only 8 episodes left. *sigh*

In the trailer, it picks up directly where season 7 ended: "Vince, played by Adrian Grenier, is out of rehab and ready for new things. Ari’s, who is played by Jeremy Piven, marriage is in shambles and Eric, who is played by Kevin Connolly, is running his own management firm, Johnny Drama, played by Kevin Dillon, is shooting an animated series while Turtle played by Jerry Ferrara has gone in on a tequila business and a possible new project".

No Sasha Grey, eh? Dah well! Be sure to tune into the final season of "Entourage" on July 24 at 10:30PM (EST) on HBO.

Lady GaGa Films HBO Documentary In Her Undies!

Ya know, if the subject of this Post read anybody else's name, we would be shocked and appalled, eh? But since it's GaGa, we didn't blink one bit.....

Lady GaGa was spotted in NYC yesterday filming her HBO documentary in a skimpy black ensemble as she strolled around Manhattan along. The footage will be used for her concert-documentary.

......as they got MARRIED this weekend! Snuck that in there, didn't they?

True Blood stars Anna Paquin & Stephen Moyer have officially tied the knot! 

"Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin were married on Saturday evening in Malibu surrounded by their family and friends," the couples rep said in a statement.

It is being reported that Anna wore a white halterneck gown and Neil Lane jewelry with her hair in an updo, and Moyer wore a dark suit.

"True Blood" Cast Covered In Blood For "Rolling Stone"

WHOA....this is intense, eh???

I've never watched True Blood before but EVERYONE rants and raves about how great the HBO series is. But, if the show is indicative of this bloody Rolling Stone cover, I might have to run to Best Buy for the DVDs! This is intriguing....

"Entourage" To End Next Summer!

NO.NO.NO.NO.NO.NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know all good things must eventually come to an end, but why "Entourage"?!?!?!?!?

HBO made it official: "Entourage" will end next summer. The network will order a shortened final season of its longest-running series, possibly only six episodes, which will bring the show to a conclusion in 2011. "The plan right now is we'll finish up this season, we'll do a shorter order for next season, we've talked about six," said Michael Lombardo, HBO programming president. "[Creator Doug Ellin] is appropriately reserving -- he wants to write a film, but wants to do it when the story will make sense. He's pitched other shows to us. I will expect that within the next couple years [he'll have another show on HBO]. But 'Entourage' next summer will definitely be the final season."

I'm sad! REALLY....

Well, if they decide to do a movie (which is highly likely) hopefully it carries the same appeal as Sex and the City.

"Entourage" Premiere Flix!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahhhhhh, this makes my loins extremely happy!

If you didn't know, we are BIG Entourage fans 'round these parts, and now we are sooooo happy that they will be taking over our television screens again on June 27th!

Last night, Entourage stars Jeremy Piven, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, Adrian Grenier, and Jerry Ferrara all turned up at the Paramount Pictures Studio for the big premiere shindig.

Also in attendace was creator/executive producer Mark Wahlberg and his beautiful wife Rhea Durham, along with the female cast.

Ooooooh! "Entourage" May Be Coming To The Big Screen!!!

If Mark Wahlberg has anything to do with it, we might be seeing HBO's hit show Entourage on the BIG SCREEN!!!

"I am more focused on making that movie than my own films," Wahlberg told MTV News, exhibiting all the passion of Jeremy Piven's energetic talent agent, Ari Gold. "I just think we can make a great movie. I think people always wanted [it] and have complained that the episodes are too short — they've always wanted more. I think we're going to do it. We just have to end strong, and this season is, by far, the best season so far."

Oprah And HBO Team Up To Develop Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Series

WONDERFUL NEWS!!!

The G.O.A.T.Oprah Winfrey has done it again! She has teamed up with HBO to bring to the public America: In the King Years, a 7-hour miniseries about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr based on Taylor Branch's celebrated book trilogy.

Harpo Films' Kate Forte says:

"This really is America in the King years, from 1954-68. Dr. King is the most dominant character, but there are so many other players who figure prominently. That includes his relationships with two presidents, JFK and Lyndon Johnson, his relationship with Coretta Scott King and his family, Bobby Kennedy, Stokely Carmichael and SNCC. This will cover the freedom rides, the Birmingham campaign, Selma, and the poor people's march on Washington that he was organizing when he was killed. It will be the seminal Civil Rights era film. We thought Robert’s work on The Pacific was incredible and he can hit the ground running."

Producers of the film will begin shooting next year.
