Celebs Do The 2nd Annual Mary J. Blige Honors Concert To Benefit FFAWN

Last night, Mary J. Blige pulled out all of the stops for her "2nd Annual Mary J. Blige Honors Concert To Benefit FFAWN (Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now, Inc.)" at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. The event was hosted by Mary J. Blige, Queen Latifah and ELLE magazine's Robbie Meyers.

Of those celebs that performed for the event were Jennifer Hudson, Jill Scott, Christina Aguilera and more!

The proceeds from the concert go toward helping to send young women to college on a 4-year scholarship!

Gucci donated twenty percent of the day’s sales in the NY 5th Avenue store to the FFAWN Scholars Program, supporting its mission to help all women gain the confidence and skills they need to reach their full individual potential.

Mary J. Blige And Jazmine Sullivan Going On Tour!

Mary J. Blige has announced plans for a fall US tour with Jazmine Sullivan. The 'No More Drama' singer revealed the month-long expedition as well as her excitement of working with Sullivan during an appearance on BET's 106 & Park. "[She is] one of the most amazing female singers out right now in this generation, and of course, she's got to be a part of my generation," she explained. "She's my sister. I love this girl's voice and spirit. Jazmine Sullivan is for real, and she's going on the road with me." The multi-city tour will begin on October 2 in Atlanta and will include stops in New York, Chicago, Las Vegas and Detroit before ending on October 23 in Oakland.

This tour will be like Christmas in October.....EVERYTHING!!! I need to be there more than the Kardashian's need another sponsorship.....dig?

Mary J Blige appeared on the Home Shopping Network (HSN) last week and broke records by selling 50,000 units of her new My Life perfume ($55), produced by Carol's Daughter.

Mary J Blige To Play Nina Simone In New Movie!

Oh aiiiight Mary!!!

The queen of R&B soul Mary J. Blige has been tapped to play the great Nina Simone in a biopic simply titled "Nina". Simone was a singer, songwriter, pianist, arranger and civil rights activist.

The movie will be brought to the sliver screen by Cynthia Mort and focuses on Simone's relationship with her assistant Clifton Henderson, who will be played by David Oyelowo.

The movie is scheduled to shoot in the fall of this year.
