Listen To Jay-Z And Kanye's New Song : "Otis"

Dancers, take a listen to Jay-Z and Kanye West's latest effort from their highly anticipated album Watch The Throne entitled 'Otis'.

In the song, rap's top two men sampled the legendary Otis Redding’s “Try a Little Tenderness”, with of course production coming from Kanye West. What I like about the song is that it appears to be a back and forth conversation going on between Jay and Yeezy, as opposed to "You do your verse, and I'll come behind you and do mine".

Imma big fan of the song. My excitement has been renewed for the album again!

Take a listen to the track under the break and post your thoughts......

Listen To Nas' New Song: "Nasty"

WHEW! And it is indeed that!

For all you true hip-hop heads, Nasir "Nasty Nas" Jones is back with a taste of what is to come from his forthcoming CD "Life Is Good" with this song entitled "Nasty".

This is the Nas I love and remember! Hefty child support/alimony payments gets us this sort of music.....I ain't mad!

Check out THE GRAND DIVAH's latest song to hit the internet streets entitled "Party" featuring Andre 3000 aka 3 Stacks (who goes AWWWWWF - why is he so incredibly talented? Oh and another thing...WHERE IS HE??? Hopefully in the studio, but I digress).

The track was produced by Kanye West, and according to Rap-Up, she boasts: “‘Cause tonight’s the night that I give you everything/ Music knocking until the morning light/ ‘Cause we like to party,” she harmonizes over a sample of Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh’s 1985 classic “La Di Da Di.”

I'm feeling the track....it will be in heavy rotation on my playlist (but of course!).

Listen to it under the break and lemme hear your thoughts....

Listen To Lady GaGa's New Single - "Hair"

I LIKES!!!

Lady GaGa just released ANOTHER promo-single entitled "Hair" from her upcoming album, Born This Way.

The track was produced by RedOne (Jennifer Lopez's "Ass On The Floor") and written by Gaga:

“Whenever I’m dressed cool, my parents put up a fight/ And if I’m hotshot mom will cut my hair at night/ And in the morning I’m shorn of my identity / I scream, ‘Mom and dad, why can’t I be who I want to be?’”

New Music: JoJo "In The Dark"

I have been a big fan of JoJo for a while now, so it's with great pleasure to hear that she is trying to make her return to the music scene with a new track "In The Dark".

The 19-year old Boston native is ready to give her fans new music since her four year hiatus and sophomore album The High Road, by debuting a new mixtape entitled Can't Take That Away From Me (due September 7th).

“I think ‘In the Dark’ is different than anything people have heard from me before. It’s a very sensual record and there’s an undertone of sadness to it.”

I like it! What do you think, Dancers?

New Music: Kanye West Ft. Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Bon Iver And Nicki Minaj

Check out the much talked about MONSTER track by Kanye featuring Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Bon Iver and Nicki Minaj.

My thoughts are: Kanye and Jay's verses were TOUGH; Rick Ross was a non factor (should've never even been on the song); and Nicki truly murdered and outshined everyone (and this is coming from someone who does NOT live for Nicki).

What are your thoughts?

PS - This is what I've noticed about Nicki and her "features": If you actually LISTEN to what she is rapping about, it's a whole bunch of NOTHING. What makes her stand out and be so successful are the dramatics (tone, neck rolls, cartoon lyrics, popping eyes, yelling, etc....you get my drift, right?). With all that being said, she definitely knows how to make people pay attention. Keep it up.....

New Music: Kanye West Ft. Jay-Z, Swizz Beatz & John Legend "Power" (Remix)

OMGEEEEEEEE! First and foremost, this remix goes AWWWWWF and Kanye goes INNNNNNN!

Dancers, PLEASE get into this Power (Remix) featuring the greats Kanye, Jay-Z, John Legend and Swizz Beatz. On the production, Swizz samples “The Power” by Snap! on the latter part of the remix, and Kanye boasts:

“Jay my big brother and B my little sister, and excuse me, but you can’t see my little sister”

YAAAAASSSSS!

So instead of me pumping the song up any further, check it out under the break....I LIVE FOR IT!

New Music News: Who Is KYONTE'?

I guarantee the world will soon know his name!

Dancers, we always try to highlight up and coming artists especially in our native of Washington, DC and this time the spotlight is on producer/singer/songwriter Kyonte'!

Kyonte' is best known for his Grammy nominated work with Raheem Devaughn and Ledisi, but now it is HIS time to step out in the public eye and make a name for himself, and rightfully so! His sound is truly reminiscent of (dare I say!!!) the greats: Donny Hathaway, Prince and Luther Vandross. I'm not telling you any lies, people!

Kyonte' recently released his debut album “831 Vol. 1: What’s That Sound” on February 23, 2010, and it has greatly gained momentum as one of the new melodic sounds to come out of our area! So much so that the great city of Washington DC has named Kyonte' as both the 2008 Entertainer of the Year as well as the 2008 Artist Most Likely to Succeed. KUDOS!!! I am a personal fan of the lead single "Body Shop", and Laaaaaadies (and some Men *wink, wink*), you will be too.....TRUST!

So, go ahead and do like I tell you: Support!!!!
