Zoe Saladana At The "Colombiana" LA Premiere

Actress Zoe Saldana ditched her Balmain ensemble last week in Miami for a more demure Valentino look at the "Colombiana" premiere in Los Angeles last night.

Joined by her co-star Jordi Molla and fiance Keith Britton, the "Avatar" darling said that she has been changed since filming the high suspense movie:
“After playing Cataleya I feel different. I will never go into a restaurant or anywhere and sit with my back to the exit. Now I always sit with my back to the wall so I can assess everyone in the room and everyone who comes in, just in case.”
Just in case what, girl? Ain't nobody gonna get you.

What an innneresting choice of outfit, Zoe. Ummmmmm. I'm on the fence, fo sho'.....

Dominican actress Zoe Saldana graced the red carpet in this gold and ivory embellished Balmain get-up at the Miami screening of TriStar Pictures' "Colombiana" in Miami, Florida on Monday evening.

Are we feeling this look, Dancers?
Have I mentioned how much I wanna see this film? Pretty bad-ass. Very Angelina Jolie-esque!

Zoe Saldana Covers "Latina"Magazine

Star of the upcoming movie, Colombiana (I'm really interested in this movie! Reminds me of Salt), Zoe Saldana graces the September issue of "Latina" Magazine!
On the key to her 12-year relationship with actor Keith Britton: “I think the only reason we’ve made it this long is because we don’t listen to anybody but ourselves. We’ve still managed to sustain a relationship in a world where half of the people we know are divorcing or going through problems. It’s like that song we both love by Frank Sinatra – we did it our way!”

On life Post-Avatar: “I just want the best filmmakers in the world to tell me, ‘You’re good, kid, you’re legit.’ The recognition will never get old, and I’ll never get accustomed to it. I don’t ever want to, because that will mean I’m taking it for granted. That’s why I work, not for the luxuries or the awards.”

On what makes her happy: “I just stay at home and do absolutely nothing. When I was younger, that would have made me feel like such a failure. Now that I’m older, I know what it means to shut down. I don’t shower if I don’t want to. I don’t answer e-mails. It’s a healthy way of being selfish. You know you’re old when gardening, the Food Network and voice notes from your nieces and nephews blow your mind.”

On dealing with fame: The year after Avatar was just emotionally overwhelming. I was traveling all over the world, waking up in different time zones. Your body gets exhausted, and by the end of the year I just collapsed.”

Zoe Saldana's New Calvin Klein Ad

The beautiful Zoe Saldana is featured in her first campaign for Calvin Klein promoting the brand's fall women’s Envy line.

I will admit that I was a bit skeptical when first hearing that Zoe would be the new face of CK because she is so rail thin, but I must say she pulled this off effortlessly!

DIVINE.

Zoe Saldana Covers "NYLON" Magazine

Talk about a "come up"! Zoe is EVERYWHERE nowadays!

Avatar star Zoe Saldana graces this month's issue of NYLON magazine where she talks about everything from her LOVE of sex (who doesn't!) to her breakout role in Avatar. Peep some snippets from the interview:
On Hollywood casting:
“When they say ‘We want to go white,’ they have a very smooth way of saying it, and the recent one is the word traditional.  [I’ve heard] ‘Oh, you know, you’re just not what we were looking for, your skin is a little darker.’  Compared to what?!  My skin is just my skin.  It’s dark if you compare it to someone who’s lighter.”
On moving from New York City to the Dominican Republic at age 9:
“We went from this urban life to running around barefoot in the countryside and being taught how to gut fish.  We were learning how to climb coconut trees – let me tell you, they are fucking dangerous!... I would do my homework in guava and mango trees.”
On meeting James Cameron:
“I’m thinking he probably imagined some Amazonian girl [for Neytiri] – I had really long hair at the time – wearing really little shit with like, a bow and arrow.  I had no idea she was blue and nine feet tall.  But for some reason, he was like, ‘You look so much like her!’””

"I love sex and rock 'n roll. You have no idea."
