In an interview with CBS's Early Show, Jessica Simpson gushed about her proposal and engagement to former NFL star Eric Johnson:
"I had to sit on his knee I was shocked…to really get what was happening. I first said 'Yes!' I didn't even try the ring on until 5 minutes in. I just sat there and cried with him. I've already done the traditional thing. I wanted to do something that was different. Eric had a plan a long time ago, He had a [sit-down] with my mom and dad about it...He was a gentleman about it."I'm sorry, but this engagement seems super in-authentic to me! Very rushed, and let's face it....Jessica (even though I love her dearly) is a hopeless romantic. She would've married the mail guy if he proposed.
I wish her the best, but I'm not betting my money on this!
