Blake Lively Set To Play Carrie Bradshaw In A "Sex And The City" Prequel?

*praying HARD that this comes to fruition......PLEASE don't toy with my emotions*

The streets are talking, Dancers and I've been listening! Reports are surfacing that instead of launching another Sex and the City movie, Michael Patrick King is exploring the idea of enlisting Blake Lively to play Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker's character) in her younger years.

BRILLIANT, yes?

Many will remember that Candace Bushnell (the writer of a column that became the basis for the popular television series and its subsequent film adaptations) wrote a book a few years ago entitled, The Carrie Diaries - that follows Carrie's adventures in New York City before she met Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte, which will subsequently be the basis for the prequel.

This news makes my heart flutter!!! 

Nothing is confirmed, but Blake is Michael Patrick King's first choice to play Carrie, and I think that the idea is GENIUS!
