Demi Lovato Explains How She Covers Her Cutting Scars To "Glamour" Magazine

It's no secret that singer/actress Demi Lovato has gone through a great deal over the past few years, which includes a stint in rehab for emotional issue. But now, the "Skyscraper" singer has dusted herself off and come full circle with a successful album and throngs of fans who have supported her road to recovery.

In a feature for Glamour magazine's January 2012 issue, she explains how she chose to cover up her self-inflicted scars due to cutting:

“I think scars are like battle wounds—beautiful, in a way. They show what you’ve been through and how strong you are for coming out of it. My tattoos say “Stay strong.” “Stay on one [wrist] and “strong” on the other. Now I’m able to look at them and be thankful for being alive. I think that I’ve been blessed over the past year to be able to start over.”

WHAT Body Issues?! Demi Lovato Stuns At The Latin Gammy Awards!

YES MA'AM, Demi!!!!!! I think it's safe to say you are OVER your body issues, eh?

Disney turned pop star Demi Lovato got super glammed up on the carpet at the 12th Annual Latin Grammy Awards which were held at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on Thursday night.

The "Skyscraper" singer donned a deep plunging neck, burgundy gown that hugged her curves! She also took to the stage with Pablo Alborán to perform a rendition of "Solamente tú".

The two were spotted in a passionate embrace in front of the That 70's Show actor's home earlier this week. They previously dated and reconnected after Demi checked out of a treatment facility earlier this year.

After a tumultuous few months in a rehab-esque facility for personal issues, former Disney star Demi Lovato is trying her best to climb back on top of her game!

She has now released her newest song and video for “Skyscraper” which has gotten rave reviews from her fans and even celebs. Not to mention that on the day of release, it shot to #1 on iTunes!

Good for her!

The song is pretty solid although the video is kinda boring! Nonetheless, she appears to have a hit on her hands.

Former Disney star, Demi Lovato offered up her bikini bod on Twitter with the following message:

I've been working so hard to get healthy and fit. I can't believe I'm about to do this but I'm so excited. I never thought I'd ever feel confident enough to ever to that. I'm excited how far I've come since being completely ashamed of my body. I want any girl/guy out there who struggles with body image or confidence to know that it IS possible to find peace with yourself. It hasn't been easy, but it starts with a commitment to yourself.. Your mind.. And your soul. And trust me, I'm still working at it!! Haha

Lookin' good Demi and great message, but ummmmmmm....do you HAVE to show the world "your goodies" on Twitter? And TRUST....this goes out to all celebrities. Shyt is getting real old and tired now. Just do what you normally: Stage photo-ops on the beaches of Malibu or Miami.... 

Demi Lovato Thanks Fans In New Video!

Disney star Demi Lovato opened up to her fans in a new video where she described her stint in rehab as "the darkest point in her life." 

If you're looking for her to go into detail about what she went into rehab for, her hit Disney show or the status of her music career,you're not gonna get that! But she does reveal: "The journey has been very, very difficult, so I can help people the way you helped me during this rough time."

She looks great!!!

A newly released Demi Lovato was spotted earlier today out and about in Santa Monica, California. According to People, the Disney star "finished her prescribed treatment at a facility and is back home in L.A.," claims a source.

"She will continue to see doctors in L.A. who will help her work on the issues she confronted in treatment,” source says. "For now, she is getting back to her regular routine and spending time with her family and close friends. She is so grateful to all of her fans for their support, and looks forward to being able to talk to all of them very soon. Demi will continue to focus first and foremost on her well-being."

WONDERFUL!

Again, she looks GREAT! Hopefully she can get back to acting/singing and being happy again. *fingers crossed*

Demi Lovato Finally Speaks And Thanks Her Fans!

In a message on her official Facebook Page, Disney star Demi Lovato finally breaks her silence: 

I wish to thank all the friends and fans who voted for me for the People's Choice Awards and the Hot Hits Hottest Teen Stars of 2010. I want to make sure my fans know how thankful I am for all their love, support and prayers during this difficult time. Thank you for standing beside me through it all.

For those that don't remember, Demi is seeking treatment for "emotional and physical issues" at a facility, and there is no word on when she will be able to leave her treatment facility permanently.

What REALLY Caused Demi Lovato To Go Into Treatment

The catalyst was a fight between the 18-year-old Disney Channel star and a dancer on the Jonas Brothers world tour, but the problem started the night before, a source close to the singer's family tells PEOPLE. "As she did on most nights off, Demi invited her band, dancers and her parents to dinner," says the source. "Afterward, she broke off with a very small group." The following day, tour managers and Lovato's stepfather, Eddie De La Garza, questioned the group's conduct. According to a source close to the situation, the group had been partying. "When tour management found out about this, they talked to the people involved, including Demi," says the source. "Demi reacted badly and perceived that someone on tour had told on her." When Lovato and other tour members were on an airplane that same day, Lovato confronted a young dancer, whom she thought might have been the one to blame for telling on her. "There was a short, physical altercation," says the source, adding that it was "one-sided." "Afterwards, Demi felt awful about her behavior and realized she needed to take personal responsibility for it," says the family source. "Because of this, and because of the battles Demi has fought throughout her life, both she and her family realized she needed to take steps to get help immediately." The singer-actress "decided to seek medical care for her physical and emotional issues at a treatment center," says the source, adding, "she is not in drug rehab." Contrary to published reports, Twilight star Ashley Greene, who is dating Lovato's ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas, "played no role in this," says a source close to the situation. Nor did the Jonas Brothers. "They were not involved in the incident," says another source. Adds a rep for Greene, "There was never an issue between Ashley and Demi, and there is no truth to any rumors about a conflict."

Source Reveals Reason Why Demi Lovato Sought Treatment

Such a disheartening situation....it really is.

A source close to Demi Lovato's family is shedding light on the reason why she entered the treatment facility:

"She fought through eating disorders and has struggled with cutting. [She] is taking control by getting help." The source confirms that a fight with a dancer on tour was the catalyst for Lovato's decision to seek treatment. According to another insider, Lovato "doesn't have that same kind of love for life that she at one point had."The insider continues she was already struggling with her weight when she entered her teens: "She definitely had body-image issues. She was always conscious of her weight." Like many other teenage girls, she struggled a lot to fit in and find acceptance," says a family friend. "She's very sensitive, very intuitive and that is part of what makes her a wonderful performer – very talented. It is double-edged sword. I think she felt that the hard time she had [in school], problems with kids who were incredibly vicious made her stronger. But none of us feels strong every day."

WOW! Cutting? Eating Disorder? You just never know what people are going through, regardless of how much fame and money a person has.

Demi Lovato Enters A Treatment Center!!!

WTF?!?!?!?!?! You mean, DISNEY Demi Lavoto? 

According to reports, Disney superstar Demi Lovato has skipped out on her international tour and checked herself into a treatment center for "emotional and physical issues". Yep!

The 18-year-old singer's rep says, "Demi Lovato left her tour early this weekend in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time. Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help.  She is doing just that. [Demi] regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future."

We're hearing that the reason for the treatment center is NOT drug related. Then WHAT could it be? An eating disorder perhaps? "Emotional and physical issues"??? The hell is that?

Sources close to Lovato tell us the singer was in a physical altercation with a female member of her tour recently ... which was a "catalyst" in her decision to seek professional help.

Hmmmmmmm. I'm sure more will come out, and my nosey azz will be the first to bring it to you!
