George Bush's Daughter Supports Gay Marriage (VIDEO)!

One of George Bush's twin daughters, Barbara Bush, is publicly endorsing gay marriage! In a video on behalf of The Human Rights Campaign, a national gay advocacy group, Barbara says, "I am Barbara Bush, and I am a New Yorker for marriage equality. New York is about fairness and equality. And everyone should have the right to marry the person that they love." She concludes her message by stating, "Join us." 

For those that aren't aware, her father President George W. Bush pushed for a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex unions.

Barbara Bush: I Hope Sarah Palin Stays In Alaska

One thing that I love and respect about older people is that they will ALWAYS speak their minds and NO ONE will question them! Can't wait 'til I get there...I'm gonna cause raucous!!!

One Of The Many Reasons Why I Like President Bush....

When given the opportunity to trash President Barack Obama yesterday during an interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show, former President George W. Bush took the high road and simply stated: "I'm through with politics...he doesn't need me criticizing him.."

I've made this statement many times, but I really like Bush! He  was very charismatic and often funny during the iterview.

Now, him as a President? Not so much. He was outta his league (IMO).

Kanye West Responds To George Bush's Comments

As we reported yesterday, George Bush caused quite a media ruckas when he finally responded to Kanye West's claims 5 years ago that he "doesn't care about black people".

West replied Wednesday with a seemingly newfound sense of empathy for the former president, telling radio host Devi Dev of 97.9 The Box, "I definitely can understand the way he feels to be accused of being a racist in any way, because … the same thing happened to me. I got accused of being a racist, and … with both situations it was a lack of, basically a lack of compassion that America saw in that situation. You know with him, it was a lack of compassion with him not … taking the time to rush down to New Orleans; With me it was a lack of compassion of cutting someone off in their moment. But nonetheless, you know I think we're all quick to pull, like a race card, in America. And now I'm more open and the poetic justice that I feel to have went through the same thing that he went through, and I really more connect with him on just a humanitarian level because that next morning, the next morning when he felt that, I felt that same thing too. I became a better person. I needed that time off, because a lot of times when people become celebrities, you don't have to do your own dishes anymore, and you don't have that responsibility anymore, [and] a lot of times you lose a level of humanity. It's a growing process, I feel like a brand-new artist. I feel like respect is something that's hard to earn but easy to lose, and I feel like I'm on that path to getting all that back right now."

Kanye appears to have really matured. That's what almost losing everything can do to you.

George Bush: Kanye Moment Was Worst Of My Presidency

Ummmmmm, REALLY??? Not the war, huge deficit you put our country in, DADT appeal.....I can go on and on for years, Bush!

In a new interview with Matt Lauer (Matt Lauer Reports), former President George W. Bush revealed his true feelings about Kanye West's famous line about the him: "George Bush doesn't care about Black People."

Bush: “It was one of the most disgusting moments in my Presidency…he called me a racist, and I didn’t appreciate it then, I don’t appreciate it now. It’s one thing to say, ‘I don’t appreciate the way he’s handled his business.’ It’s another thing to say, ‘This man’s a racist.’ I resent it, it’s not true.”

Lauer: “You say you told Laura at the time it was the worst moment of your Presidency?”

Bush: “Yes. My record was strong I felt when it came to race relations and giving people a chance. And it was a disgusting moment.”

Lauer: “Well, here’s the reason. You’re not saying that the worst moment in you’re Presidency was watching the misery in Louisiana. You’re saying it was when someone insulted you because of that.”

Bush: “No, and I also make it clear that the misery in Louisiana affected me deeply as well. There’s a lot of tough moments in the book. And it was a disgusting moment, pure and simple.”

I said it back then, and I will say it today.....I do NOT agree with what Kanye West said about the former President. But, I could totally understand the frustration of Kanye and many blacks about Bush during that time. I just find it highly puzzling that that moment still strikes a nerve with him.

Who's Checkin' For George W. Bush's New Book?!?!

George W. Bush, whose U.S. presidency was marked by the September 11 attacks and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, will release a memoir on November 9, his publisher said on Monday. The book, "Decision Points," will center on 14 decisions Bush made in his eight years as president, including "his flaws and mistakes, as well as his historic achievements," the Crown Publishing Group said in a statement. Bush will do a national tour to promote the book, which will sell for $35, said Crown.

Damn...you're touring too, G-dub??? I don't know about THAT transaction! Hopefully Secret Service will swarm 'the building'.

"President Bush brings readers inside the Texas Governor's Mansion on the night of the hotly contested 2000 election; aboard Air Force One on 9/11 in the gripping hours after America's most devastating attack since Pearl Harbor; inside the Situation Room in the moments before launching the war in Iraq," said the publisher. Bush also writes about "his historic and controversial decisions on the financial crisis, Hurricane Katrina, Afghanistan, Iran, and other issues that have shaped the first decade of the 21st century." The book will also discuss Bush's decision to quit drinking, his discovery of faith and family relationships.
