M.I.A. Why Is The Okay???

M.I.A. showed up to Spike TV's Scream 2010 Awards in a custom-made burqa emblazoned with pastels, hipster graphics and "XO I Love You" this past Saturday, and I'm honestly confused by the whole thing.

Does Oprah HATE M.I.A.???

Let M.I.A. tell it, se does!

'...Oprah seemed like she was giving me the cold shoulder. She was with Iman (Bowie). Iman was always dancing with me, hugging and kissing me, but Oprah seemed really pissed off with me. Also she made this huge speech at the ball praising Lady Gaga and about how she (Lady Gaga) is helping Americans to be the best of themselves. There's millions of other Americans who represent that for me. Is (it) about numbers? About how much you're selling? Is it truly about the journey? Because (Lady Gaga's) journey isn't that difficult: to go from the fucking Upper East Side to a fucking performing arts school and on to a stage at the museum of fucking wherever. That journey's about four miles.'

OMG....hahahahaha!

As much as I DIE for you, you have to stop talkng about GaGa. You're sounding a tab bit obsessed. And then to get pissed at Oprah for liking GaGa is REALLY MATURE!

M.I.A. Performs On “The Late Show with David Letterman”

One of my faves (even tho she can't stand my "other fave" Lady GaGa, but that's a whole 'nother post) M.I.A. was seen arriving for a taping at “The Late Show with David Letterman” at New York’s Ed Sullivan Theater. She was carrying her adorable little tyke Ikhyd and fiancé Benjamin Brewer was in tow.

Pop and controversial singer M.I.A. was seen on the streets of NYC yesterday with son Ikhyd.

Lil Ikhyd is majorly CUTE, and looks just like mom!

M.I.A. Hosts A Nylon Magazine Party

I HEART this woman....I really do!!!

M.I.A. hosted a private event for Nylon magazine's Music Issue at the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood.

Lately, the controversial singer has been all up in the press with her thoughts on Lady GaGa, her issues with the NY Times magazine interview she did, and also her stance on "the government".

 Such a pretty girl!

That's right M.I.A., if you don't have the people talking....what's your purpose as an artist! Carry on, doll.......

Hopefully, we will be able to enjoy her new album *fingers crossed*.

M.I.A Ain't Feeling GaGa Like That, Eh???

One of my loves, M.I.A, seems to not really care for my other love Lady GaGa!

M.I.A sat down with the NY Times where she discussed her most recent and controversial video "Born Free", and her thoughts on GaGa and Madonna!

On GaGa:

“With our video, we were really copying ‘Telephone,’ ” Maya says now, referring to Gaga’s recent video with Beyonce. “Both our videos are road movies. We kill people, and they kill people. They start out in a prison, and we start out in a squat, hunting people down.” Maya zipped her lips again. “I can’t talk about Gaga anymore,” she said. “All I’ll say is, it’s upsetting when babies say ga-ga now. It used to be innocent. Now, they’re calling her name.”

SHOTS FIRED!!! M.I.A. feels that Lady G is not original and that that she mostly borrows from the "Abba" playbook, and she gets annoyed when Gaga is compared to Madonna.

Hmmmmmm, not original? I don't necessarily agree with that!

Dancers, check out M.I.A.'s brand new video for Born Free off her upcoming album due this summer. The video was directed by Romain Gavras, and is very much a mini-movie!

My opinion is that the video (thought-provoking, intense, etc) DEFINITELY outshines the song.

Way to come back with a BAAAAANG, M.I.A! We missed ya, doll!

It is being reported that Sri Lankan rapper M.I.A. will be releasing new music soon *church clap*. How soon? As early as June!!!

Gearing up for her new release, she has already been playing in festivals and hitting the stage in major cities.
