Voicing his disdain for the network that gave rise to music videos, Adam Levine took to Twitter to vent about tonight's MTV Video Music Awards. The Maroon 5 frontman, who joined his bandmates at the Snapple Tea Will Be Loved Launch on Friday night (August 26), tweeted, "the VMA’s. one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music. I’m drawing a line in the sand. f**k you VMA’s.”WOW! "f**k you VMA’s", tho?!?!?!? HARSH....
Not taking too kindly to Adam's comments, MTV shot back a message of their own by tweeting, ”Soooo you’ll be tuning in at 9/8C tomorrow right? (BTW, bonus points if you TwitPic your 2004 Moonman!)”Good comeback MTV...lol

Six months after Teen Mom 2's Leah Messer wed Corey Simms, the 18-year-old mother of two has filed for divorce, Us Weekly has confirmed. Though the MTV star filed papers in Kanawha County between April 8 and 15, fans of the show shouldn't be too surprised to see the two split. "Everything Corey and I have done has happened so fast," Messer recently told Us. After all, the pair dated for one month, found out they were expecting, split up just after the 2009 birth of their twin daughters, then reunited six months later. From there, it took just weeks for them to move into together and for 20-year-old Simms, a certified water-distribution operator, to propose. "I didn't want to jump into something else and be like, 'Oh, s**t! What did we do?'" Messer told Us. "Three years ago, back before I was pregnant, I never thought I'd be married now. I was scared because a lot of people who marry young end up divorcing within a year." After all, Messer had seen it happen within her own family. "My mom and dad married, divorced, remarried and divorced again," she said. "I don't want my girls [Aliannah and Aleeah, 16 months] to go through that. My mom talked to me because she wed at 16 and didn't want me to go through a divorce like she did." Despite the divorce proceedings, friends of the couple hope to see the newlyweds reconcile. "They are not in a good place right now," a source tells Us. "Their friends are hoping they find a way to make it work."These kids are sooooo young but are forced to grow up so fast. When will people (young and old) realize that just because you have a baby does NOT mean you have to get married. It never fixes a problem...SMH!
The good news for the Jersey Shore cast: They’re getting a huge raise. The other good news: They get to spend it shooting next season in Italy. And the bad news is … actually, for the Shore cast, there is no bad news. Didn’t you read the above? The cast is being paid a massive amount of money to get drunk and screw around in Italy. For the Shore stars, there is no downside. As has been reported, the eight-member cast has just finished their salary negotiations. Multiple sources close to the matter tell EW the deal has members of the “core group” now pulling down at least $100,000 per episode, especially once you factor in their bonus structure. Each season is usually 13 episodes. (MTV had no comment.) That’s a quantum leap for a group that once made headlines by haggling a raise to $10k per episode for season 2. And, of course, the per-episode salary from MTV is only part of the group’s income, with appearances and product endorsements tacking on additional large sums. (One tally puts The Situation’s annual income at $5 million.) Regardless of what you might think of Snooki, Sitch and Co., they’re not pulling a robbery — on the balance sheet, they’re worth the money. Jersey Shore is like the American Idol of basic cable, delivering huge adult demo numbers that are higher than many, if not most, broadcast shows. The season in Italy, which starts shooting in May and already has the locals lining up to criticize the show, could bring the series to a whole new level.My Heavens! Britany Truett tells us the gnarly fight was over a boy -- aren't they all? -- who just happens to be Jenelle's ex, Kieffer. She says Kieffer made a pass at her when the three of them were hanging out and Jenelle was not pleased.Ha! What did I say?
Britany says she was shocked that Jenelle got so angry, since they have been friends for seven years and Brit has no interest in Kieffer.
Britany claims she has a bruise on her eye, scratches on her face and a bite mark on her breast. She says she's spoken to Jenelle since the fight went down, but only through Facebook ... in messages she described as Jenelle "smack talking."
Britany tells us she will not be pressing charges -- so it looks like Jenelle dodged a huge bullet.
Because West — along with the likes of the Black Keys, Wiz Khalifa, B.o.B and Mumford & Sons — has just been announced as a nominee for the 2011 Woodie Awards, which will air live from Austin, Texas, during the South by Southwest Music Festival. West is nominated for the "Left Field Woodie," handed out to the year's "most original artist." He'll face off against Die Antwoord, Lil B, Yelawolf and Das Racist for the hardware.
As in previous years, all the winners will be determined by you. Voting in all categories for the 7th annual Woodie Awards opens Tuesday (February 1) at Woodies.MTV.com, and runs through March 1. Prosecutors in central Indiana have filed felony domestic battery and child neglect charges against a star of the MTV reality show "Teen Mom." Anderson police began investigating 20-year-old Amber Portwood after a September episode showed her slapping, choking and kicking the 24-year-old father of her daughter. Portwood was arrested Monday and jailed under a 24-hour hold until Tuesday afternoon. Detective Mitch Carroll tells The Herald Bulletin that the child neglect charges stem from Portwood's then-1-year-old daughter being present during two filmed instances of domestic violence. The Associated Press left a telephone message seeking comment Tuesday at the office of Portwood's attorney Robert Schembs. Anne Houseworth of the Indiana Department of Child Services said dozens of viewers called the state's child abuse hotline to report Portwood's outbursts.SMH
