I'm not sure if this was just a friendly outing over the Labor Day Weekend or WHAT, but actors Jake Gyllenhaal and Rashidah Jones (Quincy Jones' daughter) were spotted at the trendy cafe Gratitude in Los Angeles on Sunday....together!

The pair sat closely together at the restaurant chatting it up with smiles on their faces, and even walked Jake's dog after the Sunday romp together.

I mean...WHY NOT! They're both single.....

It seems as if Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift may be on the mend. The two were spotted dining together on Wednesday at Bound'ry, a restaurant near Swift's Nashville condo.

A source reveals: "They did eat. They were cordial to one another, but not affectionate." Ha! We all know how those awkward moments can be!

Another source reveals: "There was no holding hands, but they seemed happy together. They sat next to the fireplace just chatting away." 

I kinda liked them together! Maybe they'll be an item again...we'll see.

Looks like Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal weren't built for the long haul. A source close to the couple says: "They're over. It ended last month." 

So what happened? The snitch didn't spill the beans on that, but the now former couple did spend New Years apart. Swift, 21, rang in 2011 in Nashville, solo, at a party, while Gyllenhaal, 30, was in New York, where he attended a closing party for Broadway's Fela! on Jan. 2. 

You "Hollywood people" give NO HOPE to regular folk! Just leave each other alone, why don't ya....

Not sure if many of you Dancers remember, but Kirsten Dusten and Jake Gyllenhaal dated for a long while quite some time ago. So, while at the premiere of her new film All Good Things yesterday in NYC, it was only RIGHT a reporter asked Kirsten her thoughts on her ex and Taylor Swift's new romance:

At the film's NYC premiere Wednesday, Dunst, 28, was asked whether she thinks Swift - who turns 21 Dec. 13 - is a good match for 29-year-old Gyllenhaal. "Next!" she told a pack of reporters.

Well, DAMN Kirsten!!! Testy, eh...

Anne Hathaway and co-star Jake Gyllenhaal get nude (and cozy) on the cover of Entertainment Weekly to promote their new movie “Love & Other Drugs”.

Of posing nude for the cover with his co-star, Jake says, "We only do a little hugging on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, but we do a little bit more in the movie... it was a great photoshoot. It brought us back to last year when we were actually naked much more often together." Anne added, "We were so excited that EW was singling us out... for a magazine like EW to give us any kind of attention, it was really thrilling."

Taylor Swift Speaks On The Jake Gyllenhaal Rumors To Ellen

While on the promotional trail for her new album Speak Now, Taylor Swift stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show when Ellen got all up in her business about her getting cozy with Jake Gyllenhaal.

After Ellen asked if she’s optimistic about love right now, she added “especially if your boyfriend is Jake Gyllenhaal because he is very handsome. Y’all are just hanging out though right?”

Taylor responded saying, “You have a picture of us on the screen don’t you?”

Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift spent the weekend together in NYC. She first brought him to a Saturday Night Live taping. Swift, 20, initially sat down with her bodyguard, but after the lights dimmed, he got up and Gyllenhaal, 29, occupied the seat. Says a witness, "They chatted a lot, but no kissing or hand holding or anything affectionate." The next day, they were spotted brunching and taking a stroll in Brooklyn's Park Slope neighborhood -- where Gyllenhaal's sister, Maggie, lives with her family.

Again....Hmmmmmmm. Story developing...
