Remember the young fan (who is a Youtube sensation now) who paid homage to Nicki Minaj by rapping/singing her smash hit "Super Bass"? Well Lady Minaj has made that young girls day by surprising her on stage during an appearance on the Ellen show!

“Within five seconds of seeing this video, I was calling everyone I knew and I was also receiving a billion emails,” says Nicki. “Everyone is like, ‘You have to see this little girl.’ She blew me away!”

The 8 year old's name is Sophia, and her 5 year old cousin Rosie helped in singing the song!

Ellen DeGeneres' Team Lends Support To Bethenny Frankel Talk Show!

Listen. If you're gonna dive into a new field, whatever it may be, please surround yourself with the best of the best! And that is exactly what reality star Bethenny Frankel is doing.

It's being reported that Bethenny has begun shooting a pilot for her talk show (GO BETHENNY!!!) and is getting a boost from Ellen DeGeneres' team of Executive Producers.

Former "Real Housewives of New York City" star Bethenny Frankel is developing an advice-based talk show with the help of Ellen DeGeneres. Telepictures, the production company behind "Ellen," is producing the pilot, which will be filmed next Thursday (June 23) on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, CA, according to Broadcasting & Cable. The company is also behind Anderson Cooper's upcoming daytime show. The news shouldn't come as a surprise as Frankel indicated in a recent interview that she was looking to make the jump from reality TV star to talk show host. “I want to be on TV in a format where I can have a longer conversation with my fans rather than 140 characters on Twitter,” she told THR “It probably will be a talk show.” During Frankel's recent appearance on "Ellen," DeGeneres also briefly mentioned that they were working on a project together. Last fall, the talk show host and producer signed a deal with Telepictures to begin developing original scripted and reality programming for Warner Bros. Though the pilot will be taped on the West Coast, if the daytime show is picked up it will likely film in New York.

In a sit down interview with Ellen DeGeneres, new American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez speaks about why she let her twins Max and Emme model in the kid's GUCCI campaign:

“Frida Giannini from Gucci said she was going to launch the Gucci’s kids line, and they were going to do it in conjunction with a big donation, and they were going to do it with [the United Nations' children's charity] UNICEF, and would we do it? “Marc didn’t really want to put the babies in an ad or anything like that. And I was just like, if they do it, I’d want to do it with my kids because it is for the kids. That’s the connection. That’s what makes it real. We don’t really parade them around like that, so it was for a good cause."

And being that this IS the Ellen show, she got Jennifer Lopez to prank a couple of people interviewing to be her assistant. HILARITY ensues under the break....

As revealed on the upcoming Ellen DeGeneres show, Katy Perry announced that she's in the process of taking new husband Russell Brand's last name, even though she has informally been called Katy Brand since October. 

People call her Mrs. Brand to "try to get my attention," she says. "Like if I'm at an event or something like that, and they want special attention, they go, 'Mrs. Brand!' And I go shwoosh [looks back]."

And I said, 'Nayla? Nayla? Nayla?' Gone," she continues. "My heart just started ... I'm like, Close the store! Shut the door! My daughter's gone!' Turns out, Berry says, "She was right next to me -- in a rounder of clothes where the pants were hanging. Right there. And after I became a lunatic and totally embarrassed myself, she stuck her head out and was like, 'Hi.'"

Kanye Sits Down With Ellen DeGeneres (VIDEO)

Kanye West say down with Ellen DeGeneres and spoke about (SURPRISE SURPRISE) the Taylor Swift incident at the 2009 VMAs.

On what he did immediately after 'the incident': “I left America. I stopped doing music all together. I just took some time. I went to Japan just so I could get away from paparazzi all together. Then in November I moved to Rome and just lived there and when I came back to the states I moved to Hawaii. I lived there for about six months and just worked on music.”

On his decision of leaving the spotlight for a while: “It was the first time that I got to stop since my Mom had passed. I had never stopped and never tried to even soak in what all had happened … It was time to take a break and develop more as a person as a creator and focus more on my thoughts and my ideas and what I wanted to bring to the world.”

And now, he is about to takeover the world again. I'm happy that he stepped away to collect himself. He deserves a lot of credit.

Ellen And Portia FINALLY Share The Same Name!

Portia de Rossi is no more ... at least in the name department ... because she's now officially known as Portia Lee James DeGeneres. TMZ has learned a judge granted Portia's name change petition in L.A. County Superior Court. She and Ellen DeGeneres got married in 2008. We know "Lee" was Portia's original middle name, but "James" seems to be an added name. Hey, if you're already filing the paperwork ... why not?

YEAH!!! Another step in EQUALITY FOR ALL! It's 2010, people......

Jane Lynch To Ellen: You Made It Easy For Me To Come Out

 



GLEE star and openly gay actress Jane Lynch was a guest on the Ellen DeGeneres show yesterday, and she opened up about coming out in Hollywood. 

"I was more closeted in my life when I was younger," she said. "By the time I started to do work and people knew who I was, I just never made the choice to hide that I was gay."

Jane told Ellen that Ellen's openness about being gay helped her do the same.

"That just blazed the trail for me," she said. "It made it so much easier for me when you came out."

Jane added that because she's a character actor, it's easier to be openly gay than it would be for a Julia-Roberts type romantic lead.

"So you're saying Julia Roberts is gay?" Ellen joked.

"That's what I'm saying," said Jane.

Simon Cowell Reacts To Ellen's "Idol" Departure!

Everywhere is buzzing about the big mix-up over at American Idol, so it was only fitting that Simon Cowell gave his reaction to Ellen DeGeneres leaving the show:

"As I got to know Ellen, I grew to really, really like her. I have huge respect for her because she's always been in control of her own destiny."

At the end of the day, Ellen is not hard up for cash! She'll be just fine....

Ellen Says Bye-Bye To "American Idol"!

Yep.....knew this was coming!

Filling Simon Cowell‘s seat on American Idol was already a tough task –- now another chair is there for the taking. Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, who became a full-time judge on the show during its ninth season, is bowing out of the series. “A couple months ago, I let FOX and the American Idol producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me,” she says in a statement. “I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for.” DeGeneres adds, “I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on Idol and I am very grateful for the year I had, I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.” In the same statement, Idol creator and executive producer Simon Fuller says, “I loved Ellen’s passion for the artists and her nurturing skills. She brought honesty and optimism to our judging panel and I will miss her greatly.” Peter Rice, the FOX entertainment chairman, says, “We love Ellen and understand and support her decision to bow out of Idol. We were fortunate to receive the humor, energy and love for talent that she brought to the show.”

IMO, this is probably for the best! As much as I LIIIIVE for Ellen, American Idol wasn't the correct fit for her.

The the rumor mill is churning, and highly placed sources are reporting the my love Jennifer Lopez will be joining the popular show as a judge. Hmmmmm, don't know about this one either!

Also, TMZ is reporting that Kara Dioguardi is OUT as well! DAMN...musical chairs, eh?

We'll have to see when the confirmed reports come out.
