Mo'Nique's Brother FINALLY Admits To Molesting Her On "Oprah"!

Sad!

Yesterday Oprah interviewed the estranged brother of Oscar winner Mo'Nique, Gerald Imes. Imes finally admitted, after years of denial, that he sexually molested his younger sister starting when she was only 7 years old.

"I'm sorry, Mo'Nique. I'm sorry," Imes said Monday on The Oprah Winfrey Show. "I betrayed everybody's trust. I broke that trust. I broke that bond." Mo'Nique declined to be involved in Imes's interview or respond to his apology.

Imes touched on the fact that he too was molested as a child, and that drugs and alcohol (at a very young age) contributed to his molesting of his sister. He claims it happened over a period of two years mostly while Imes believed Mo'Nique was sleeping. SICK SICK SICK!!!

Also in the audience were Mo'Nique's parents (who appeared to be supporting Gerald) who they claim she hasn't spoken to them in approximately 2 years (WOW!). They felt this issue should've been handled privately before Mo'Nique went to the press with this news, because they have always been a very close family.

I watched the show yesterday all while my stomach did lots of twists and turns! Imes says he doesn't want anything from his famous sister, he just wants to come forward and offer his apologies and hopefully this can bring the family back together.

I honestly don't blame Mo'Nique one bit for wanting to sever ties with her brother and even her family (if she feels that is necessary to HER for closure). Sometimes, it's a hard pill to swallow, but family can also add to lots of heartache and pain in one's life.

Monique we wish you all the best, and just know that you are in control of your life now. Happiness is key....
