Dancers, we always try to highlight up and coming artists especially in our native of Washington, DC and this time the spotlight is on producer/singer/songwriter Kyonte'!
Kyonte' is best known for his Grammy nominated work with Raheem Devaughn and Ledisi, but now it is HIS time to step out in the public eye and make a name for himself, and rightfully so! His sound is truly reminiscent of (dare I say!!!) the greats: Donny Hathaway, Prince and Luther Vandross. I'm not telling you any lies, people!
Kyonte' recently released his debut album “831 Vol. 1: What’s That Sound” on February 23, 2010, and it has greatly gained momentum as one of the new melodic sounds to come out of our area! So much so that the great city of Washington DC has named Kyonte' as both the 2008 Entertainer of the Year as well as the 2008 Artist Most Likely to Succeed. KUDOS!!! I am a personal fan of the lead single "Body Shop", and Laaaaaadies (and some Men *wink, wink*), you will be too.....TRUST!
