Drake Postpones European Tour Because Of Mother

Hip Hop's newest superstar Drake has decided to postpone his European tour so he can be by his mother’s side as she recovers from a difficult surgery.

“Despite my best hopes, it is apparent that my mother will need surgery earlier than anticipated,” he said in a statement. “In light of this news, I have made the difficult decision to cancel my European tour in order to support her during her recovery, just as she supported me through the years. I cannot thank my European fans enough and look forward to performing abroad soon. I ask everyone to please respect my family’s privacy during this time.”

Drake did not give any information as to when he will reschedule the tour, but the 23-year still plans to tour throughout his home country of Canada beginning July 16.
