American rapper and hip-hop artist Waka Flocka Flame shook up the charts and the airwaves with his debut album, Flockaveli. This crunkster quickly became a musical sensation and is known for sporting some rockin' ink and serious jewelry. But underneath all that bling is a heart of gold—Waka Flocka Flame is a huge animal lover and is giving a shout-out to all the helpless fuzzy animals who are killed for their fur. The rapper has joined PETA's iconic "Ink, Not Mink" campaign and is showing his skin to help animals save theirs. Waka thinks that "[fur] is nasty!" and urges the hip-hop community to "understand what you buy." Animals who are killed for their fur, such as foxes, minks, rabbits—even dogs and cats —are bludgeoned, stomped, electrocuted, and often skinned alive. Waka shares his disgust and exclaims, "Damn … electrocuting and killing animals!" Undercover investigations reveal the horror as the animals struggle and scream in pain as workers peel the skin from the writhing animals' bodies.

Rapper Waka Flocka Flame and three other men were being questioned at police headquarters late Wednesday after a shootout at an east Charlotte car stereo store. Police said Waka Flocka Flame, 24, whose given name is Juaquin Malphurs, was at the Car Stereo Warehouse to have the sound system on his tour bus upgraded. Around 4 p.m., he was talking with fans and having his picture taken outside the store, witnesses said. Two vehicles – an older model white Land Rover and a later model Dodge, possibly a Charger – pulled into the parking lot, said Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Spokesman Rob Tufano. The men in the car exchanged gunfire with people in the rapper’s party, according to police. One person was shot in the shoulder. Police have not identified that person, but said it wasn’t the rapper. The injured man was taken to Carolinas Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. No one has been charged. Police said they don’t know what the motive for the shooting was. Tufano said investigators are reviewing video surveillance recordings from outside the store. Celebrity news website TMZ reported that the rapper’s tour bus was shot four times and his security team returned shots. Late Wednesday, the bus was surrounded by yellow crime scene tape. Curious onlookers and people who’d heard the rapper had been involved in a shooting walked by. Traffic was moving slowly along Independence Boulevard near Bojangles’ Coliseum, which is in sight of the stereo store. Al Armstead was at the store when the shooting began, waiting for his car’s windows to be tinted. He was browsing the store’s selection of car stereos with a friend when he heard the gunshots and threw himself to the floor. “Everybody was screaming,” Armstead said. “They’re scared…frantic, bumping into each other. It was crazy. It was chaotic.” He said he didn’t hear any argument before the shooting and he didn’t see who fired the shots, which penetrated the store’s window. When he looked up after the shooting, he could see the rapper looking through the store’s window.

Waka Flaka's (Or However You Spell It) House Raided + Gucci Mane Was On Premises

Another Dumb Rapper!!! Yep, I said it and AIN'T taking it back....

TMZ has learned ... a gaggle of cops raided rapper Waka Flocka Flame's Georgia home this AM on suspicion of prostitution -- and Waka's mom tells us, fellow rapper Gucci Mane is in cuffs. Law enforcement sources in Henry County tell TMZ, cops are investigating possible prostitution. Waka's mom tells us, cops are also looking for evidence of gangs and drugs, though we have not been able to confirm this with law enforcement. Our law enforcement sources say cops found marijuana and weapons. According to neighbors, there are still four cop cars parked outside. We're told Waka (left) is not there -- and his mom tells us, if he doesn't show up soon ... cops will issue an arrest warrant.

UPDATE: We're told Gucci Mane has since been let go. Waka is still AWOL.

New Music Video: Waka Flocka Flame “Hard in da Paint”

First and foremost, I am NOT a fan of Waka Flocka Flame (not my type of music), but for some reason I like this song (maybe it's the production).....go figure!

The video for “Hard in da Paint” was directed by Benny Boom and was set in Baldwin Village aka “The Jungle” in Los Angeles (same location as "Training Day"). During the filming of the video, the LAPD shut down production, but Waka and crew kept it going......THUG LIFE!
