Kanye West On The TODAY Show (VIDEO)
Here is the infamous video of Kanye West on The TODAY show with Matt Lauer that had him in an uproar, so much so, that he took to Twitter to air his displeasure.
In the video, you hear an irritated Kanye say, “I didn’t need you guys to show me the tape and prompt my emotions to what I’m going to say. Pre-looking at his face, I came up here because I wanted to say something to him right after the fact. I don’t really have to do the TV stuff. This is reality, this is the real thing going on. I don’t need all the jazz.”
Ut oh....the volcano is about to erupt!
He continues, “I’m here to man up to different mistakes that I made and speak to the moment when I pegged George Bush as a racist. I came here to say I’ve made mistakes and grown as a person and that it’s not as easy as boxing someone into a villain role or into a race role. I did not have the information, enough information in that situation to call him a racist. That might’ve been the emotion that I felt.”
Good for you Kanye!
Well after viewing the interview, I can understand how Kanye could've grown irritated when clips of past "mistakes" HE MADE were playing in the background when conducting this current interview, but that happens all the time on the TODAY show. It wasn't anything different with this particular interview. It seems Kanye wants to apologize, move forward and be done with the whole Taylor Swift/George Bush talk, but unfortunately Kanye, you have created history in the minds of a lot of people that most will never forget. This may haunt you for the rest of your life, and you have no one to blame but yourself.
But on a side note, how funny was it when Kanye told the TODAY crew to NOT play the video in the background again when he is trying to do his interview??? HEEELARIOUS! Gotta love 'Ye for that....
