Dancers, meet Cindy Barshop the newest housewife on the Real Housewives of New York, replacing Bethenny Frankel, BRAVO has confirmed!
Barshop is a single mother to infant twin girls and the owner of Completely Bare, a chain of day spas with outlets in Manhattan, Scarsdale, N.Y., and Palm Beach, Fla.
Oooooh, somebody has some $$$$ I see!
So what's the T on Barshop? According to Christian Barcellos, BRAVO programming VP, "She has an organic connection to the cast. She's friends with [fellow New York 'Housewives'] Ramona [Singer] and has connections to Kelly [Bensimon]. They all run in the same circles. She's the epitome of the go-go New Yorker who lives downtown in an absolutely fabulous West Village loft. She "has made some really bold, daring lifestyle choices [that] are really cool and laudable and hopefully will invite watercooler conversations.
"She's done some unorthodox things, and she owns it," continued the Bravo exec. "She brings a distinct flavor to the ensemble…viewers will enjoy getting to know and see [Barshop]."Unorthodox things, eh? Hmmmmmmm. I'll be watching...intently!
