"W" Magazine Responds To Kim Kardashian's Naked Magazine Cover

On the latest episode of Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Kim Kardashian became really emotional (to the point of tears) when she got word that a cover she was featured on for W magazine revealed her in the nude (BUTT NAKED), covered in silver paint! Kim was under the impression that her private parts would be covered with pictures of art *side-eye*. Yeah, okay Kim!

Needless to say, Kim was furious with the magazine but chucked it up as a loss because at the end of the day she did choose to pose nude. "I've definitely learned my lesson. I'm never taking my clothes off again, even if it's for Vogue." Now, W is responding:

In keeping in line with the theme of W Magazine’s November Art Issue, Kim Kardashian’s cover was conceived as an artistic collaboration with well-known artist Barbara Kruger, and was a meditation on the influence that reality TV has on contemporary culture.

The inside portfolio documented the career and power of Kim Kardashian as a work of art, using the language of artists like Jeff Koons (see Rabbit) and Gilbert & George (see The Singing Sculpture).
