The “Country Strong” actress and wife of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has signed a deal with Atlantic Records to record her debut album, according to a report by the Britain's Sun newspaper. Financial terms were not disclosed, but Paltrow’s record contract is believed to worth $900,000. Paltrow joins a diverse Atlantic roster that includes James Blunt, Janelle Monae and Kid Rock. According to the New York Post, the album is described as some kind of "country pop" by those who have heard demos.Let the criticism begin!
