Ryan Seacrest Replacing Matt Lauer On "TODAY"???

Ut Oh! There's rumblings of a major shakeup in the Television world!

According to the Wall Street Journal:

NBCUniversal is pursuing "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest as a possible successor to Matt Lauer on the "Today" show, if Mr. Lauer vacates his co-anchor seat next year, said people close to the company. NBC executives—including "Today" show executive producer Jim Bell, NBC News President Steve Capus and its senior vice president for marketing and communications, Lauren Kapp—met with Mr. Seacrest on Tuesday evening to discuss him joining the show, according to the people close to the company. To be sure, the talks are preliminary and could fall apart at any time. They also may be in part a negotiating tactic for NBC executives, who need a strong backup plan in case Mr. Lauer leaves the show. Mr. Seacrest is one of NBC's top replacement choices, according to people familiar with the matter. (MORE)

This man is FEARLESS, and has created a career for himself that has spanned television, radio, music, etc.etc.etc. And just think, he started off as a host on a little 'ole program called "American Idol". *tips hat*

Bravo TV executive and 'Watch What Happens Live' host Andy Cohen was a guest on Ryan Seacrest's radio program yesterday. The two powerhouses discussed many things: the success of the Real Housewives franchise, Bethenny Frankel and rumors of both Andy and Ryan taking over Regis Philbin's spot on "Live" once he retires. 

But my ears perked up when Andy and Ryan revealed on air that they will be collaborating on a new reality television series that focuses on the huge Persian-American community in Los Angeles (FYI...I despise when someone refers to a group of people as 'Persian'...that's a damn rug! These people are mainly from Iran!).

The show will highlight the zany behavior and extreme wealth that a lot of these people have in Los Angeles.

Media mogul Ryan Seacrest decided to take some time off from his busy schedule to visit his main squeeze, former DWTS dancer and actress Julianne Hough. Ryan and Julianne were also joined by her brother, DWTS dancer dancer Derek Hough. The couple exchanged  kissy-faces in Miami, Florida on Saturday while Ryan was in town for some charitable duties.

That man has his hands in EVERYTHING! Julianne, if you know like I know, STAY PUT!!!

Spencer Pratt Begs Ryan Seacrest For A Job (AUDIO)!

Ha!!! Keep in mind this is the same guy that cussed Ryan Seacrest out on Twitter for "disrespecting" his wife Heidi. How the mighty have fallen....

Spencer initially contacted radio publicist Amy Sugarman, who admits upon receiving the email, “I knew it was him because I do email with him so I know it’s his email…[and he wrote] ‘ask Ryan if I can intern for him for a month or so, I’m going to be in LA for 5 weeks.” Amy then admitted, “my immediate reaction was he’s a sneaky little bugger…I was skeptical.” Amy further explains the conversation as her response was, “is this for a show?” In which Pratt responded, “no, Heidi has a gig and I’m around and living right near the station,’ and basically he said ‘I’m trying to change my image and make myself more likable.’” All of which Spencer then verified on air himself and explains he believes to do so, “you go from being hated to a little more likable” through working around people whom are liked themselves-and in this case, for Pratt, that’s Ryan Seacrest. Spencer admits, “in the past, I was around more hated people on “The Hills,” and Ryan offers a change of scenery as he’s one of the “most liked” people says Pratt. Spencer also admits, “I’m ready to start a hole new leaf,” even acknowledging, “I need to get a job or something,” as his wife Heidi Montag is busy filming an upcoming reality show and apparently “jumping rope at 4am”?!

Spencer...go play in traffic you DOO-DOO HEAD, DONKEY FACE!!! The recession has hit everyone, eh.....

Our dear Britney Spears paid a visit to Ryan Seacrest's morning show where she discussed her new album, her boyfriend Jason Trawick, TOURING THIS SUMMER (!!!!!!!!!!!!) and more!!!

Brit sounds sooooooooo good and happy, yes?! Happy for her!

On new album:

“It’s, I think, my best work yet. I love the album, I actually listened to it on the way over here. It’s definitely something that you want to work out to. It’s definitely upbeat. Will.i.am’s on the record and I’m a dancer so it’s definitely something I can work with. It’s just really fun, it’s a really really fun record.”

On working with Will.i.am:

“Oh my God, he’s amazing! He’s so much fun and he’s funny and he’s a charm. I love him, he’s great. I love the Black Eyed Peas so when they told me I’d be working with him I was just like ‘oh my God, I can’t wait!’”

On boyfriend Jason Trawick’s physique:

“He’s definitely ripped. He just got on this health kick.”

On her workout routine:

“I have a trainer. I’m on the treadmill for 30 minutes and we do a lot of cardio and running – he kicks my butt. You pay to hate your trainer, it’s so odd.”

On touring for her new album:

“Yes, I’m supposed to be going on tour.” Her manager Larry Rudolph added, ”early summer.”

Willow Smith, daughter to Jada and Will Smith, gave a great interview with Ryan Seacrest this morning (this child has been here before....soooo smart) where she spoke about her new hit single "Whip My Hair", being overwhelmed from the positive responses she's gotten from it, and also officially signing to Jay-Z's record label.....MAJOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jay-Z even hopped on the interview.

“I heard the record first before I knew it was recorded by a nine year old. I knew it was a smash. Jay Brown said she was 9 and I said Whoa!… then he said she’s Will & Jada’s daughter and I said Whoa! Whoa! and it went from there. I met Willow out in Japan and the first thing she said was “I’m really nervous”. And I thought that maturity explained exactly how she was feeling. I knew right then she was a star.” – Jay-Z

I feel sooooooooo proud of this girl like she is my own. So smart and articulate....and she's only 9!

This Is Why Twitter Is The Devil!

Can you Dancers remember life BEFORE Twitter? I can't, and if I did, I wouldn't want to go back there (REAL TALK)!

Well, I'm sure Ryan Seacrest wishes TWITTER didn't exist this morning!

At 8:43 p.m., before Wednesday's show even began, "Idol" host Ryan Seacrest told his 3 million-plus Twitter followers that Lacey Brown was eliminated and the contestant field had narrowed to 11. He used the tweet as a promotion for his early morning radio program that's syndicated around the country.

Poor Ryan!

Immediately TWITTER users were PEEVED at Ryan for letting the cat out of the bag before time. It is now being reported that was the lowest among regularly scheduled "Idol" broadcasts in the show's history.

Did that have to do with Ryan, or were people doing other things than sitting in front of the TV? Who knows....

Nonetheless, I have said it time and time again: TWITTER ain't for everybody! Use with caution.....
