Fantasia Welcomes A Baby Boy!

Fantasia Barrino has a new little backup singer.  The American Idol season 3 winner gave birth to a baby boy, Dallas Xavier Barrino, her rep tells PEOPLE. Baby Dallas made his debut on Tuesday in North Carolina at 7 lbs., 9 oz. and 21 inches long. He joins big sister Zion, 10. "I feel so blessed that my son Dallas Xavier was born healthy, and is a wonderful new addition to our family," Barrino, 27, tells PEOPLE. "I thank all my fans for their well wishes and continued support."

Tasia-Mae (that's my name for her *shrug*) has not confirmed whether or not Antwuan Cook is the father, but we all know the deal.

I see she kept that last name "Barrino". I'm not mad.....

Fantasia Reveals The Sex And Due Date For Her Baby!

Fantasia Barrino called into the Wendy Williams Show yesterday to set the record straight about some of the rumors surrounding her life: whether or not the producers of the Mahalia Jackson biopic have dopped her from the movie because she is having a child out of wedlock, whether she is STILL with a MARRIED Antwuan Cook, and lastly the due date and sex of her new baby. 

The American Idol winner revealed that she is due to give birth December 29th and that she is having a BOY!

"I'm having a boy. I'm at home, I'm on bed rest right now."

So what's up? Is she still with Antwuan, the baby's daddy?

"I'm not gonna talk about that."

Oh, boooooooooooooooooo! Well, I don't know about yall but I don't need confirmation! She tried to kill herself over this man. We know she is still with him!

As for the rumors surrounding her role in the Mahalia Jackson biopic, Fanny says:

"I almost went into labor, because it was the first time that I’ve heard anything about that," Barrino said of hearing the report. "Haven’t spoken to the family yet, haven't heard anything from the family, so that was my first time hearing anything about it."

"There were no contracts signed, and there was no set date and time," she says of possibly starring in the film. She also says she hasn't heard from the producers recently, but that she had studied Jackson's life and her singing in order to work on her portrayal.

"I began to gain the weight, I began to study her," Barrino said. "And then they called us back in January and said the investors had backed out. So they were waiting on investors."

She added, "I wanted to make the family proud, and most of all, I wanted to make Mahalia Jackson proud – and my fans and everyone who's been following me." 

I'm just gonna pray for her. *sigh* It's all I can do....

Fantasia Had A Baby Shower, Yall.....

Anthony Hamilton, his wife Tarsha, and their twins Nolan and Michael attended Fantasia’s baby shower over the weekend in North Carolina.

And YES, that is her lover Antwaun Cook to the far left who happens to STILL be married to his wife Paula Cook. Hopefully, they will be divorcing soon, but who knows.

In very shocking and surprising news, American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino has announced that she is in fact PREGNANT while performing at grand opening for Riverview Apartments in Jacksonville, FL earlier today (there is soooooooo many things wrong with that sentence, but I digress.....).

She told the jam packed crowd:

For a while I walked around figuring out what will they say and what will they think about me.  But now I tell you I don't live my life for folk. THIS CHILD THAT I AM CARRYING...God has given me this child.  And I don't have to hide it from NONE of y'all.

'Tasia hasn't announced WHO the father of her unborn child is, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that more than likely the father is Antwaun Cook, the guy she almost killed herself over.

YEAH, I said it. SMH.....

Fantasia Boycotted The GRAMMYS.....But Why?

Well, it appears it had everything to do with Fantasia not performing as part of the Aretha Franklin tribute. Really?

Fanny called in to BET's 106 & Park on Monday and revealed to hosts Rocsi and Terrence how unhappy she was with the award show:

"I'm going to be very honest with you. You know I wasn't at the Grammys last night. I'm kind of going through my own little thing. ... Last night they were honoring someone who is my idol, Aretha Franklin, and there is no way I could have sat there and not got the happy feet and wanting to jump on the mic because she is my favorite so I felt like, you know, at the end of the day I should have been on that stage so, I kind of did my own little thing last night. I watched Cee Lo's performance, I love Cee Lo, love Gaga, watched Gaga, and I love Rihanna's performance, but I kind of cooked and did my own think last night and was in my own world and was hoping that I won. I have this feeling, like every year I go, I feel like they always look over some of the good singers that are still around and I'm not trying to be funny but that's just the way I felt."

When asked about her reaction to winning, finally, this is what Fantasia had to say:
"Actually I scared my daughter because I just bust out and started crying, and she thought something was wrong with me. You know it's been a long time coming... at the end of the day its been a long time coming for me and I have been through a lot of things so when Brian called me (my manager accepted the award for me), I just bust out started crying because I felt like, man, I wasn't gonna stop until I got one and I'm still not going to stop and you know this has just given me motivation to do my own thing. So, I just started crying and just thanking God that finally, eleven times nominated, finally I got one."

I'm happy for Fantasia...I really am!

Fantasia To Star In Mahalia Jackson Biopic!

According to Billboard:

"American Idol" alum and erstwhile VH1 reality-show star Fantasia Barrino has added another line to her resume today.

The season three winner is slated to appear in a feature-film adaptation of the 1993 book "Got to Tell It: Mahalia Jackson, Queen of Gospel," which recounts the life of the late American gospel singer, a civil rights activist who was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The CAA-repped Barrino, whose biggest post-"Idol" gig to date was playing Celie in the Broadway version of "The Color Purple," will portray Jackson on her journey from abject poverty in New Orleans to her rise as a global figure in gospel and early supporter of Martin Luther King, Jr. The singer died in 1972 at the age of 60.

The 26-year-old performer also played herself in the 2006 Lifetime biopic "Life Is Not a Fairy Tale: The Fantasia Barrino Story," which was based on her 2005 autobiography.

The film will be directed by Euzhan Palcy ("A Dry White Season") from a script by Jim Evering, and goes into production in April in Pittsburgh and Chicago for a December release.

I'm hearing that Fantasia will have to gain 40 LBS for this role!!!!!!!!!!! WOWZERS! But if she does a stellar job with this performance, Hollywood will love her....mark my words!

Fantasia Aborted Antwaun Cook's Baby!

YEP, you read that right!

Fantasia Barrino was in a North Carolina court today for Antwaun Cook’s divorce proceeding from his ex-wife Paula,  and revealed that she did in fact abort her ex-lover's baby. The American Idol alum admitted that she became pregnant by her married lover right around the time of her failed suicide attempt.

Fantasia was pressed by Paula's lawyer on whether she knew Cook was living with Paula when they embarked on their alleged affair. Fantasia revealed that she dated Cook “off and on for about 11 months” but said she believed he had separated from his wife.

In court, lawyers for Paula also pressed Fantasia about a hotel rendezvous that took place just a few days after meeting one another. “Paula’s lawyer is arguing that they got the room because she knew he was still married,” says one onlooker.

Hmph! I'm sure Fantasia just wants this nightmare to end for good, but you have to go through the storm, I tell ya. It's just honestly embarrassing that people have to hear about your private life and then comment on it.

Moral of the story: Make sure your lover has divorce paper in hand? IDK....

Katy Perry Outsells Fantasia On Billboard Charts

In a neck-in-neck race for the top spot, Katy Perry proved to be victorious as her sophomore album Teenage Dream debuted at the #1 spot on the Billboard charts selling over 194,000 copies. Coming in right behind her was R&B singer Fantasia's album Back To Me which sold a decent 122,000 plus copies.

Fantasia Barrino made an appearance on George Lopez's show, Lopez Tonight, where she opens up about her much publicized suicide attempt and moving forward with her life and career.

“It sounds strange now. At the time, I wasn’t really thinking about people and anything else,” she said of her attempted suicide, later joking with Lopez about the experience. “When I opened up my eyes and realized that I was still here in front of a whole bunch of strangers, I was like, damn!”

Fantasia Barrino Discusses "The Scandal" On GMA

Troubled singer Fantasia Barrino decided to face the world today by appearing on Good Morning America and dealing with the aftermath of her suicide attempt earlier this month.

I have to give Fantasia alllll of the credit in the world, she owned up to what she did (trying to commit suicide) and held her head high by pretty much admitting that she was reacting to "carrying six years of so much."

I still feel that alot of this was a tab bit staged (especially since she has an album out TODAY), but moving forward is what she is trying to do now. But hopefully she understands that she has A LOT to live for (her daughter, career, family, fans) and trying to end her life was the most selfish thing she could've done! ESPECIALLY for a mere scandal.....

“There’s so much that people don’t understand. They just see the glitz and the glamour, and they feel like life is so perfect, but we’re human and we go through things.”

Fantasia Opens Up For VH1's "Behind The Music"

American Idol winner (and subject of media scrutiny due to her "friendship" with a married Antwaun Cook) Fantasia Barrino's VH1's Behind The Music is scheduled to air this Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT, and in the special Fantasia opens up about what happened that night where she took a bunch of pills causing the media and her fans to believe she wanted to commit suicide.

"I didn't have any fight in me. I didn't care about anything. I just wanted out. At that moment, I wanted out. I wanted it to be over with – all of it, all of that [expletive]." 

*side-eye*

She continues: "I just sat in the closet and looked at the mirror and took all the pills in the bottle. I wanted to go to sleep and just be at peace. I knew exactly what I was doing. You can't accidentally take a whole bottle of pills. I was tired of people doing me wrong, constantly, over and over again, dealing with my family – my father, dealing with men and their [expletive] – I was tired," she says. "My head was hurting me. I was over it."

All for a married man, eh? I guess LIVING for your daughter was out of the question, huh? Sad.....

Her manager Brian Dickens also speaks out about that night: "Her emotions were extremely low," he says. "She'd been crying all day. Fantasia was just numb. Fantasia texted me, saying 'I love you.' I wrote back, 'I love you more.' Then it hit me."  I wrote, 'You better not do anything or think about doing anything stupid.' And I left it at that. About 10 minutes later, Fantasia texted me back, and she said, 'Already did.' I went into Fantasia's room and saw her on the floor, and my heart just dropped."

Ummmm, am I the only one that feels this is super "staged"??? I'm sorry....I ain't buying it! NOPE. 

Antwaun Cook: Dont Blame Fantasia

Cheater Antwaun Cook is finally speaking out about American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino, and wants the public to back off and NOT blame her!

"Antwaun would be remiss not to address the criticism and judgment he has received," Cook's lawyer, Nicole Sodoma, said Wednesday in a statement. "He knew Fantasia Barrino but the failure of his marriage can in no way be blamed on anyone except the two people that were a part of the union – Paula and Antwaun. [Paula and Antwaun] expected their marriage to stand the test of time," adds Sodoma. "Unfortunately, like many marriages, it did not turn out as planned. In late summer 2009, after years of discussion, the parties separated with the intention of no longer being married." 

Yeah Yeah Yeah....whatever fool! I blame YOU honestly (no one else). You've created this problem for yourself, and now your wife has to suffer from the embarrassment!

Spotted: Antwaun Cook Moves OUT!

Fantasia's "friend" (or whatever you wanna call him) Antwaun Cook was spotted leaving the home he shares with his wife and kids in North Carolina, with a bunch of his belongings in hand. Going somewhere Antwuan????

According to reports, 26-year-old Cook has moved into a nearby apartment.

Fantasia's Father Speaks On His Daughter

Fantasia Barrino has been going through a VERY TOUGH time as of late, but reports show that she is now home with her family resting comfortably.

Her father, Joseph Barrino is now speaking out about his famous daughter and explained that having her own daughter Zion around her has brought a smile to her face:

"Zion was staying with both myself and her grandmother but she is back with Fantasia now. She is getting a lot of comfort with being with her daughter and the doctors have told her just to rest. My daughter just needs time – she is a strong girl and with God’s help she will be okay. “Fantasia was pleased with all the messages of support from her fans but just now she just needs to rest and bring everything back together. This has been a difficult time but she will pull through.”

I have faith that she will be fine. Wishing her nothing but the best!

BREAKING: Fantasia Barrino Tried To Overdose On Pills!!!

When did it get THIS bad Fantasia?!?!?!?!?

It's been a rough week for Fantasia Barrino. The American Idol season 3 champ was hospitalized Monday night after overdosing on aspirin and a sleep aid, her manager Brian Dickens confirmed Tuesday. "Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time," Dickens said. "Fantasia is stable now. She will be released from the hospital soon." On Monday, the singer, 26, denied she was responsible for breaking up the marriage of Paula and Antwaun Cook after she was cited in the couple's divorce papers. Barrino was "totally overwhelmed by the lawsuit and the media attention," says Dickens, referring to a North Carolina woman's claims that the singer's alleged affair with her husband caused their split. Though she initially denied dating Antwaun, Dickens now says the two "dated on and off for about eleven months" but Barrino believed Cook "when he told her he and Mrs. Cook separated in the late summer of 2009 … Fantasia fell in love with Mr. Cook and believed that he loved her." Barrino read the woman's complaint for the first time Monday, Dickens adds, and though says some of the allegations are "totally false," she "is heartbroken and is sorry for any pain she may have caused." He added, "This is not the hardest thing Fantasia has endured. Fantasia will be stronger, smarter and better for it ... Fantasia sends her praise to God and her eternal gratitude to her fans, friends, and family. God is good."

WOW! It's crazy that the pressure of this lawsuit and I'm sure media scrutiny can cause ANYONE to try and overdose!

In my opinion, it is NEVER that serious. But for her, this is obviously getting the best of her. In life we must all live and learn. No one is perfect, and the fact that some throw stones without knowing the full story is one of the pitfalls of being in the public eye.

I sincerely hope she gets the help she needs, and can come out stronger!
